About the opportunity

Opticca Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Principal OpenShift Architect to lead the design, implementation, modernization, and operational governance of enterprise Red Hat OpenShift platforms.

The Principal OpenShift Architect will serve as the technical authority for OpenShift architecture, advising executive stakeholders while leading engineering teams responsible for building highly available, secure, and scalable Kubernetes platforms.

The role requires someone comfortable designing production platforms supporting mission-critical workloads in regulated industries such as government, healthcare, finance, telecommunications, and large enterprise.

The successful candidate possesses deep expertise across modern OpenShift versions, Kubernetes, Linux, virtualization, networking, storage, and enterprise security. They must be an exceptional communicator capable of translating complex technical concepts into business outcomes while mentoring architects, engineers, and client teams.

You can expect to

Architecture leadership

  • Own the end-to-end architecture of enterprise OpenShift platforms.
  • Lead platform strategy from assessment through production deployment.
  • Define platform standards, governance, and reference architectures.
  • Create High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD).

  • 12+ years designing enterprise infrastructure.
  • 8+ years working with Kubernetes platforms.
  • 6+ years designing and implementing Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Proven experience leading enterprise OpenShift deployments supporting hundreds or thousands of nodes.
  • Extensive experience with current OpenShift 4.x releases and lifecycle management.
  • Strong Linux administration background.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise networking.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise storage.
  • Strong security architecture experience.
  • Experience with regulated enterprise environments.
