Azure Migrate & Modernize partner

A fully Microsoft-funded Azure assessment. Know exactly where you stand.

Before you spend a dollar on migration or modernization, find out what your environment really looks like — governance gaps, cost exposure, and the fastest path forward. As an Azure Migrate & Modernize partner, Opticca delivers the assessment through Microsoft's funded program. It costs you nothing, and it unlocks the funding for everything that follows.

Fully funded by Microsoft No cost · no obligation
What you get

Not a sales call. A real picture of your environment.

The assessment produces a concrete, evidence-based view of where you are today and what to do next — the kind of analysis most firms charge for.

Environment inventory

A full map of what you run — servers, applications, data — discovered with Azure Migrate, not guessed at.

Dependency mapping

What depends on what, so nothing breaks when workloads move and the migration sequence is right.

Governance & security gaps

Where your environment is exposed — policy drift, compliance gaps, the findings that surface in an audit.

$

Cost exposure

Where spend is running ahead of value, and what rightsizing and guardrails would recover.

Unlocks funding

Projected Azure consumption

The figure that determines how much Microsoft funds the migration or modernization that follows.

A costed plan

A fixed-scope, workload-by-workload plan for what to do next — with the numbers, before you commit.

The four questions

Every assessment answers four questions for your leadership.

This is the spine of how we run an assessment — the same framework whether it's a single workload or an entire data center.

01

Where are we today?

Current-state documentation of your environment — workload inventory, dependency mapping, identity dependencies, and connectivity architecture. Discovered, not guessed.

02

Where are the risks and blockers?

The dependencies, technical debt, security gaps, and sequencing constraints that have to be resolved before anything moves — surfaced before they bite.

03

Where do we need to be?

A clear target-state architecture — what a clean, cloud-native environment looks like for your organization, and what it needs to absorb the work ahead.

04

How do we get there?

A phased, sequenced roadmap with effort and cost estimates accurate to within ±10% — and a risk register naming the highest-priority blockers.

How we work

Evidence-based, not opinion-based.

We don't assess by interview alone. We deploy Azure Migrate for agentless discovery across your estate, run performance-based right-sizing and readiness scoring, and map service-to-service dependencies so the migration sequence is grounded in real data. The result is a set of milestone deliverables your team can act on — and defend to leadership.

  • Server inventory & classification — every workload categorized as migrate, decommission, or out-of-scope, with dependency flags captured per server.
  • Azure Migrate readiness & right-sizing report — readiness scores, performance-based sizing, dependency maps, and target-state cost estimates.
  • Critical-workload findings — the highest-risk items (file gateways, certificate authorities, regulated dependencies) assessed individually with Azure-native replacement options.
  • Migration roadmap & risk register — a sequenced plan with a Phase 2 estimate accurate to within ±10%, and a clear list of anything deferred and why.

A focused assessment typically runs about four weeks — Azure Migrate needs 7–14 days of continuous data collection to produce reliable right-sizing, and we plan around that. You get written milestone reports throughout, not one document at the end.

How the funding works

The assessment is funded — and it funds what comes next.

This is the part most people don't realize. As an Azure Migrate & Modernize partner, Opticca delivers your entire engagement through Microsoft's funded program — the assessment, the plan, and the migration or modernization itself.

The assessment is fully funded, so it costs you nothing. Just as importantly, it establishes your projected Azure consumption — and that figure is what sets how much Microsoft funds the work that follows. That's why the assessment comes first: until it's done, no one can know the funding available for the migration. Once it is, you have a costed plan and a clear funding picture, with no upfront spend.

  • Assessment: fully funded. No cost, no obligation.
  • Migration / modernization plan: funded, delivered as a fixed, defined scope — concrete deliverables, not a vague proposal.
  • The work itself: funding-eligible, scaled to the consumption the assessment projected.
How it works

Four steps, no friction.

We run the assessment

Discovery and analysis using Azure Migrate and our own accelerators — fully funded by Microsoft, with minimal demand on your team.

You get the findings & plan

A clear report: inventory, gaps, cost exposure, projected consumption, and a costed plan for what's next.

Decide with the full picture

Proceed, adjust, or simply keep the analysis. No obligation either way — and if you proceed, the funding picture is already clear.

Assessment, answered

Common questions.

Is the assessment really free?

Yes. As an Azure Migrate & Modernize partner, Opticca delivers the assessment through Microsoft's funded program — it's fully funded, so it costs you nothing, with no obligation to proceed afterward.

What do I actually get?

A clear picture of your current environment: an inventory of what you run, dependency mapping, governance and security gaps, cost exposure, and a costed, workload-by-workload plan for what to do next. You also get your projected Azure consumption — the figure that determines how much Microsoft funds the migration or modernization that follows.

What happens after the assessment?

You receive a fixed-scope plan and the funding picture for the next phase. There's no obligation to continue. If you do, the migration or modernization is also delivered through Microsoft's funded program, scaled to the projected consumption the assessment established.

How long does it take?

A focused assessment typically runs about four weeks. Azure Migrate needs 7–14 days of continuous data collection to produce reliable performance-based right-sizing, so we plan the timeline around that. You receive written milestone reports throughout — inventory, readiness, critical-workload findings, then the roadmap — rather than one document at the very end.

What does the assessment actually involve from my team?

Very little. We deploy Azure Migrate appliances for agentless discovery, so most of the work is ours. Your team provides access and joins a kickoff workshop and a weekly progress call. We handle discovery, analysis, and reporting.

Is there any catch?

No. The assessment is genuinely funded and genuinely no-obligation. Opticca's view is simple: a clear, honest assessment is the best way to start a relationship — and the work that follows is funded too, so there's no reason to hold anything back.
